Medical Fitness
If you are recovering from an injury or suffer from a chronic or acute medical condition, learning how to continue or begin an exercise routine that works best for your situation can be stressful and overwhelming. Once you have been cleared by your physician or physical therapist to exercise, we can help “bridge the gap” between healthcare and fitness. We will work with your healthcare provider to design an exercise program for your individual needs. |

Post-injury rehabilitation
Often times a patient is released from physical therapy without the knowledge and tools to continue a safe and effective exercise program on their own. We will keep an open flow of communication with your physical therapist or other health care provider. We will use the information from your health care provider to develop an exercise program that works around any limitations you have and that continues a gradual progression to transition from rehab to general fitness.
Chronic & Acute conditions
Most physicians recommend exercise as a means of improving certain health conditions. However, individuals that have been diagnosed with a chronic or an acute disease or condition usually find it extra difficult to exercise safely and effectively. Following a generalized program may not work for people suffering from certain conditions or may even be dangerous. By communicating with your healthcare provider, we can design and manage an exercise program appropriate for individuals following treatment for many conditions. Some conditions commonly addressed are:
- Arthritis
- Cardiac diseases
- Diabetes or pre-diabetes
- Fall prevention
- Hypertension
- Joint replacement
- Lower back pain
- Neck, shoulder, and upper back pain
- Neuroligical disorders such as MS or Parkinson’s Disease
- Pre-natal
- Pulmonary disease
- Sciatica
- Scoliosis
- Spinal disorders such as stenosis and degenerative disk disease
- Weight management
